THE ROLE OF SPOUSAL ORGANIZATIONS IN ENHANCING SOCIAL COHESION.

THE ROLE OF SPOUSAL ORGANIZATIONS IN ENHANCING SOCIAL COHESION.

.Legislation on the two-thirds gender rule has proved to be an Achilles heel for the legislature. The spirit of the constitution envisions a nation where at least not more than two-thirds of the legislative house members are of the same gender. This is not the case as the number stands at a paltry 21%. This is why organizations like NALSA (K) play a vital role in attempting to address the issues that would have otherwise been covered if the gender rule ever lived to fruition.

Primarily, NALSA objectively offers a supportive role to spouses who are national assembly leaders. This does not rule out lobbying for more attention to such issues as the gender rule. Additionally, NALSA leaders; Use their influence, in the constituency to promote national unity and cohesion. It encourages women to take upon more leadership roles in society. Bridge the development gap by initiating and supporting their own projects

Such organizations as NALSA offers the community hope that there is more to look forward to from their leaders, prove how far we can go when we team up together, and most importantly bridge the developmental gap in the community. Since NALSA(K) is apolitical, community issues are looked at without concern for party loyalty. Such organizations are encouraged for bringing additional ideas to the table, offering supportive roles to our spouses, and affirming the advocation for more women leaders in our society.
