100 Barbershop and Salon Owners in Embakasi West Celebrated for Their Professional Excellence.

In a landmark event that unfolded at Umoja 1 in Embakasi West Nairobi, 100 enthusiastic graduates were awarded certificates confirming their mastery in hair plaiting, grooming, and hair trimming.

The occasion marked the culmination of professional training for barbershop and salon owners in Embakasi West who were presented with a rare lifetime opportunity to elevate their skills and businesses. This is an empowerment program implemented by the National Assembly Lady Spouses Association of Kenya (NALSA-K) in partnership with Proudly Kenyan Association.
The event was graced by MP for Embakasi West Hon. Mark Mwenje Muriithi who extended gratitude to the participants for successfully undertaking the training. He highlighted the significance of the certificates they were receiving and challenged them to prominently display them in their businesses as a symbol of professionalism and expertise in the service industry.

Hon Mwenje gifted each graduate with equipment for their business not only as a way to celebrate their achievements but also to provide tangible tools for continued success in their businesses.
The NALSA-K representative for Embakasi West Ms Mwenje Laura, who is also the initiator of the project, expressed gratitude for the time and dedication exhibited by the students.
She encouraged the graduates to never seize from empowering themselves and committed to sustaining the ongoing support and growth within the community.
Proudly Kenyan Project Manager Ms Stella Wangare encouraged the graduates to utilize the newly acquired skills which she emphasized is important in uplifting those around them. She also spoke passionately about working towards implementing development projects across constituencies in Kenya. She
Nancy Gitonga, one of the course trainers revealed that all the 100 students demonstrated dedication and commitment that saw them finish successfully without no single one of them dropping out.
Also present to witness the great achievement was the President of the Cosmetologist Association of Kenya, Mr. Joash Ouma. He expressed honour at being part of a team dedicated to enhancing professional expertise for the betterment of the industry.
The empowerment does not only benefit individual enterprises but also contributes to the overall growth and professionalism of the local cosmetology industry in Embakasi West.
The initiative also serves as a beacon of hope and showcases the positive impact that targeted training and support can have on community businesses and their lives.
